13th Annual Logan's 5K Run & Walk for Autism

Moving from Awareness to Acceptance

Join the Autism Society Greater Harrisburg Area as we host the 13th Annual Logan’s 5K Run and Walk for Autism on Saturday, April 21, 2018 on City Island and Riverfront Park in Harrisburg.

The 5K Run will begin at 10:00 a.m. (check-in and registration 8:30 a.m.–9:45 a.m.). The Family Fun Walk for Acceptance begins at 12:00 noon (check-in and on-site registration 10:30 a.m.–11:45 a.m.). PARKING is FREE on City Island.

• Runners: $20.00 (NO tee shirt) OR $25 (WITH tee shirt) if pre-registered online BEFORE April 1, 2018. All Runners registering on or after April 1st (including day of event): $25.00 (NO tee shirt)

• Each runner, unless in a stroller, must be a registered participant in the 5K. If you bring a child in a stroller, be sure to check the box on the registration form indicating that you will have a stroller

• The race is transponder chip timed by Falcon Race Timing

• Award medals for top THREE overall race winners in each age group: 1-12, 13-18, 19-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-59, and 60+ and ALL children under 12 years of age receive a special participation ribbon

• Cash awards for the overall male and female winners of Logan’s Run 5K:
$125–First Place
$100–Second Place
$75–Third Place

• Online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2018. On-site registration will be available from 8:30 a.m.–9:45 a.m. on April 21st. Day-of registrants are welcome!

Walkers: NO FEE. Walkers will receive a complimentary gift and we encourage you to join a team and wear team t-shirts. ASGHA T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event. Children in strollers are welcome! We ask all participants to be registered to walk. Online registration closes on Monday, April 15, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. On-site registration will be available on April 21st from 10:30 a.m.–11:45 a.m.

Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children at all times.

Refreshments, inflatable amusements for the kids, information about autism, various vendors, and autism related items for sale will all be part of the event.

Special recognition will go to the individual and team who raise the most funds online by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2018. All cash donations brought on the day of the event will not count toward team or individuals donations for recognition. To get "credit" for these cash donations later, you must enter donations on your fundraising page as pledges.

Every dollar raised for Logan’s 5K Run and Walk for Autism will go directly to help children, teens, and adults living with autism in central Pennsylvania, as well as their families and those who support them. Funds raised provide educational, social, and recreational opportunities for the local autism community.

THERE WILL ALSO BE PRIZES FOR THE BEST TEAM T-SHIRTS! Be creative and send a picture to us before April 1, 2018.

Organizations wishing to sponsor Logan's Run & Walk for Autism can purchase most sponsorship levels online by clicking the Sponsorship Opportunities link or contact Event Co-Chair, Kelley Johnson at The Title, Presenting, 5K Race, Friends of Logan, and Gold Sponsorships are not available for online sale.

Logan's Run and Walk depends on its volunteers. We can never have enough! Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Logan's Run and Walk Yard Signs are perfect to show your support for autism awareness. Customized signs help provide information about autism, honor those with autism, say "thank you" to those who have helped your family and loved ones, or provide autism information. The signs will initially be displayed at the Logan's Run and Walk event. After the event, the signs may be picked up in the Carousel Pavilion on City Island. All signs are made of corrugated plastic - great indoors and outdoors. The surface is not affected by water, and cleans easily. Very durable outside! All signs come with a pair of EZ wires for easy displaying. For more information, click "Order a Custom Sign" on the left. If you ordered a sign in previous years and did not take it with you, it will be displayed again this year.
